On Saturday 8 February 2020 the event 'Skating for Daniel' will take place at Schaatsbaan Rotterdam. Skating with the aim of making scientific cancer research possible at Erasmus MC. From 15.00 hours the 400-meter rink will be used exclusively by participants of the event. But don't worry! The fun rink is open all day and you can also participate in the event itself. All information about this event can be found below, for participants, fans, non-participants etc.

Q: I haven't signed up yet, can I still join?
A: Yes! You can just do this. If you pass by on Saturday you can buy a participant ticket (€10,-) at the box office and skate for an hour on the 400-meter rink in a block of your choice (if space is still available).

Q: Can I still skate before and after my block?
A: Yes, this is possible. The fun rink is open all day and available for ice-skating. After the last block (it ends at 21.00 hours) the 400-meter rink is also open for skating. Please note: on the fun rink you are only allowed to skate with ice hockeyskates.

Q: Is it possible to participate in Skating for Daniel with a normal entrance ticket?
A: Yes! You can participate by buying an upgrade in the shop on the winter square. Please keep your entrance ticket at hand.

Q: Do I have to wear speedskates (noren) on the 400-meter rink?
A: No, you can decide what kind of skates you want to wear. It doesn't matter if these are ice hockey skates, speedskates or figure skates! However, as an inexperienced/slowskater, please always stay on the outdoor rink.

Q: I don't have skates, can I rent them from you?
A: You can rent skates at the box office. We have enough ice hockey skates and speedskates in stock.

Q: I don't want to participate in Skating for Daniel, just ice skate on the fun rink. Can you do that?
A: Yes, that's just possible. You buy a ticket for €5 at the box office. The great thing is that part of this entrance fee also goes to charity!

Q: What else is there to do besides skating on the 400-meter rink?
A: Enough! You can skate on the fun rink, but there is also a lot of fun on the winter square. There are performances by various artists and of course there is plenty of Koek & Zopie available!

Q: Are gloves required?
A: Yes, gloves are required for your own safety.

Q: Can I pay with cash?
A: No, unfortunately this is not possible. We are completely cashless, so you can only pay with pin here.

Q: Do you have lockers?
A: Yes, we do. You can rent a locker for €2.50. All proceeds go to Daniel den Hoed!
